Amber tortoise crystal Hail Mary beads reflect both the devastating fire in the French Quarter averted through Mary's intercession and the subsequent miraculous victory against the British in the Battle of New Orleans under General Andrew Jackson. Though he was a Presbyterian, he credited Mary for the victory.
